Holidays All Welcome at Brackenborough Hall Coach House Holidays!
The 3 luxury self catering apartments have been awarded accessibility
accreditations by Quality in Tourism independent assessors, as part of
their annual quality inspection of the accommodation at Brackenborough
Hall Farm, when the 4 and 5 star rating was also confirmed. All
apartments now are approved at Level 1 of the National Accessible
Scheme for guests with Impaired Hearing, Stables and Granary apartments
for Visually Impaired guests and Stables apartment also for Older and
Less Mobile guests.
Being on the ground floor and with no steps into the apartment, Stables
is the most accessible apartment for those who use a wheelchair, or
benefit from grab rails to aid balance.
The apartment has a wet floor
shower (as well as a bath), and aids such as a raised toilet seat and
barometric frame are available for all apartments, on request.
With minor adjustments to the 3 apartments and service, Paul and Flora
Bennett have found they can also provide for those with limited vision
or hearing. A personal welcome is always given so any specific requests
of guests can usually be accommodated.
Flora said: “we are keen to welcome all, so are particularly delighted
to receive these accreditations. With the apartments together sleeping
up to 24 people, and many of our bookings from families, often for
birthday weekends, it is great to be able to attract visitors of all
ages. We have had visitors who are wheelchair bound or have very poor
sight, and know that they have a great holiday on our farm.” Since
opening Brackenborough Hall Coach House Holidays has achieved national
and regional awards for self catering, tourism provision for families
and for sustainability. Accreditations for Families Welcome, Walkers
Welcome, Welcome Pets and Cyclists Welcome have also been achieved once
more.
